    Solutions for Business

We Make Meaning, Not Marketing

History

The Entrepreneur-Cell of IEM was founded in 2007 with the sole objective of guiding and inspiring its students in the field of innovations, inventions and entrepreneurship.

We envisioned the E-Cell as a platform where any kind of help at any stage can be given, it must be able to provide one with the right kind of resources or at least be able to guide one to the right path. We stepped further with the ideology of educating, mentoring and providing enterprising resources to budding entrepreneurs. In the light of this, we established an Incubation Center, and a strong network of Knowledge Mentors. We are continuously updating ourselves with the latest needs of our target audiences and trying our best to meet their expectations.

Thus the IEM E-Cell has been a major breakthrough in the history of IEM, providing students the encouragement and platform to begin their own start -ups.

Strategy

Developing leadership qualities among students, motivating the students to come up with feasible and practical business plans, helping bridge the gap between the industry and academics, developing a strong network of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, corporate executives, senior professionals and individuals who are directly or indirectly related to Entrepreneurship are just some of our main objectives.

Opportunities

This organization shall operate according to the most current regulations and policies of the National Entrepreneurship Network, and in compliance with all local, state, and national laws.

To bring a like-minded group of people together in one platform, to share ideas or opinions on different ways to make money or start up a business, the goal of this club is to not only gather ideas or opinions, but to put those ideas or opinions into action, or help someone in the fraternity to accomplish the desire of starting or creating a business. This club shall generate a powerful resume for the IEM student and also allow for the ability to network and make new friends with people who share similar interests..

  • An entrepreneur starts off with the thought of converting dreams and ideas into actions, making ends meet, goes on to generate employment for others, and in the process gains freedom, profit, realization of dreams as returns for all his effort. The thrill of the challenge and the freedom to work is what drives an entrepreneur.

Prof. Satyajit Chakrabarti ,DirectorInstitute OF Engineering & Management.
  • Instead of being a simply self-employed or job creator, entrepreneurs must concentrate on continuous innovation and turn it to a high growth company. Entrepreneurs always ready to face new challenges and never worry about failure. In Institute of Engineering and Management we encourage each student to be an entrepreneur. My best wishes are always there with the Young Entrepreneurs of IEM.

Prof. Dr. Amlan Kusum Nayak ,PrincipalInstitute OF Engineering & Management.
  • The first and foremost quality which an entrepreneur should possess is endurance. He should have the ability to go on and on despite repeated failures and taking it as an important lesson which life has taught him or her.The person has an innate confidence in his potential and does not get deterred by the innumerable obstacles life throws at him or her.I feel my role as an IEM E Cell faculty president to merely rekindle the ember of entrepreneurship within you all hoping that it will turn into a raging flame.
